Evans EC2 SST Coated Head Pack

This is one of Evans newer 2-ply tom head designs and one of the hottest drum heads on the market. The Evans EC2 SST coated drum head with sound shaping technology features a sound shaping technology ring that is mounted underneath two plies of 7 mil film. By controlling edge vibration, instead of eliminating it, the ring isolates and dampens higher overtones, enhances low-end and attack, and enables broader tuning and dynamic ranges. Unlike conventionally damped heads, the Evans EC2 SST drum head will not choke at higher tuning ranges, or lose its full-bodied presence when tuned low. The unique translucent coating on the drum head adds additional warmth, focus, and depth.

The Evans EC2 SST coated drum heads have great tone regardless of how you prefer to tune your drums. They have a powerful sound without excessive ringing. The EC2 SST heads are also very easy to tune.
